Gentle fits: A bold silhouette that creates a powerful outline for your outfit

We have created a bold, wide silhouette with the theme of a silhouette that looks great just by pairing it with a simple white T-shirt. The waist has elastic on the sides for stretch, while the roominess around the hips, thigh width, knee width, and hem width are calculated to achieve a balance that avoids looking unfashionable.

Gentle materials: Wrinkle-resistant & washable! Low-nap merino wool twill

We selected a hybrid material of merino wool and polyester that offers both an elegant appearance and everyday wearability. The fabric used is a twill weave made from 72-count worsted two-ply yarn.
Generally, fabrics made with yarn counts around 50 tend to feel solid and reliable, but can sometimes appear a bit heavy or coarse. Conversely, extremely fine yarn counts of 100 or more are very smooth and beautiful, but can be too delicate for everyday slacks.
The 72-count yarn is a happy medium. It has a smooth and elegant appearance without being overly delicate. Furthermore, by using two-ply yarn twisted together, the fabric gains a moderate stability, making it easier to maintain the distinct silhouette of slacks when worn.

The weave is a 2/1 twill. We aimed for an exquisite middle ground, where the twill lines are not so strong as to be overly casual, nor so flat as a plain weave. Within its neat appearance, there is a subtle texture and suppleness, allowing it to naturally look refined whether paired with a jacket or worn casually with a knit or shirt. In the finishing process, the fabric is treated to suppress fuzz and achieve a neat, even surface, bringing out the elegant qualities of the wool in a cleaner way.

Furthermore, the washable and wrinkle-resistant properties are another reason to choose this material. It's easy to care for at home, and wrinkles are less noticeable even on days with a lot of sitting or movement. These slacks offer practicality, allowing them to be worn without excessive care in daily life, despite their neat appearance.

Gentle made: Permanent press for a lasting center crease

To maximize the beautiful silhouette of the slacks, these slacks feature a permanent press treatment for a semi-permanent center crease.

The sewing is handled by skilled craftsmen at a specialized slacks factory in Nagasaki Prefecture. By applying ironwork to the seat seam, which is often omitted in mass production, we pursue a beautiful silhouette from every angle.

 

"For me, who is bow-legged, slacks that make my legs look beautiful are a reliable companion. That's why, whenever I plan slacks, I take my time to carefully consider the fabric, silhouette, and specifications.

This slacks project focuses not only on fabric selection and silhouette design, but also on the amount and placement of the pleats. The spacing between the pleats is slightly widened, and the side pleats are designed to radiate outwards. This creates a three-dimensional silhouette where the fabric gently falls away from the legs.

Personally, I recommend wearing them at a length that creates a just-right to half-cushion, as the silhouette looks incredibly stylish.

You can sharpen the look with J.M. Weston, Paraboot, or Church's penny loafers, or lighten it up nicely with leather sandals like Birkenstock's Boston or Zurich, Loro Piana's Peter Walk Sandals, or Riviera Slide Walk. For sneakers, I recommend low-tech canvas lace-ups like Asahi deck shoes or Vans Authentics."
