Gentle fits：装いに力強い輪郭を作るボールドなシルエット

シンプルな白Tシャツに合わせるだけでサマになるシルエットをテーマに、ボールドなワイドシルエットを表現。ウエストのサイドにはゴムを入れて伸縮性を持たせながら、ヒップ周り、わたり幅、膝幅、裾幅のゆとりを計算し、野暮ったく見えないバランスに仕上げています。

Gentle materials：防シワ&ウォッシャブル！毛羽の少ないメリノウールツイル

上品な見え方と日常での穿きやすさを両立するメリノウール&ポリエステルのハイブリッド素材を選びました。使用しているのは、72番手の梳毛双糸で織り上げた綾織生地。
一般的に50番手前後の糸を使った生地は、しっかりとした安心感がある一方で、見た目にやや重さや粗さが出やすくなりがち。反対に、100番手以上の極細番手は非常になめらかで美しいものの、日常で穿くスラックスとしては繊細になりすぎることがあります。
72番手は、そのちょうどよい中間にある糸使い。なめらかで上品な表情を持ちながら、過度にデリケートになりすぎない。さらに2本の糸を撚り合わせた双糸にすることで、生地にほどよい安定感が生まれ、穿いたときにスラックスらしい輪郭を保ちやすくなります。

組織は2/1綾。綾目が強く出る生地ほどカジュアルに振れず、平織りほど平面的にも見えない、絶妙な中間地点を狙いました。すっきりとした見え方の中に、わずかな表情としなやかさがあり、ジャケットを合わせても、ニットやシャツで軽く着ても、自然に品よくまとまります。仕上げの工程では、毛羽を抑えた端正な目面になるよう加工を入れることによって、ウールの上品さをよりクリーンに引き出しています。

さらに、ウォッシャブル性と防シワ性を備えていることも、この素材を選ぶ理由です。自宅でケアしやすく、座り時間や移動の多い日にもシワが気になりにくい。きちんと見えるスラックスでありながら、日常の中で過度に気を遣わずに穿ける実用性があります。

スラックスのシルエットの美しさを最大限に引き上げるセンタークリース。それが半永久的に続くパーマメント加工をこのスラックスには採用しています。

縫製は長崎県にあるスラックス専業工場にて熟練の職人が担当。量産では省かれることが多いアイロンワークを尻ぐりに採用することで、360度美しいシルエットを追求しています。

 

「O脚の私にとって、脚のラインを美しくみせるスラックスは、頼れる相棒と言える存在です。だからこそ、いつもスラックスの企画を考えるときは、じっくりと時間を掛けて、生地とシルエット、仕様を検討します。

今回のスラックス企画は、生地の選定とシルエット設計はもちろん、実はプリーツの分量、入れ方にまでこだわっています。 プリーツ間の感覚を僅かに広げ、脇のプリーツが放射状に伸びていくように入れる。これにより、生地が脚から少し離れながら、立体感のあるシルエットを描きます。

個人的にはジャスト〜ハーフクッションが生まれる程度のレングスで穿いたときのシルエットが、とても格好良く見えるのでおすすめです。

 足元はジェイエムウエストンやパラブーツ、チャーチなどのコインローファーでシュッと引き締めたり、ビルケンシュトックのボストンやチューリッヒ、ロロ・ピアーナのピーター・ウォーク・サンダル、リビエラ・スライド・ウォークといったレザーサンダルで軽快にハズすのもイイ感じ。スニーカーならアサヒのデッキシューズやヴァンズのオーセンティックといったローテクなキャンバス製の内羽根スニーカーの合わせがおすすめです。」
