ブランドの創業時から続く人気のWOOSTERシリーズに通ずる編み地を採用しながら、春夏向けにアレンジ。なるべく天然素材を軸にしながら超ドライタッチで軽量、そして吸水性、速乾性、通気性といった機能を持たせ、大人のコーディネートを格上げする現代的なシルエットと洗練された印象を与える細やかな仕様まで妥協なく追求しました。

インナー使いはもちろん、一枚で着てもきちんと様になるよう、シルエットにこだわりました。タンクトップを普段から一枚で着こなす製品担当者と議論を重ね、ニットならではの特性を活かしたオリジナル仕様に仕上げています。一般的なリブタンクトップより肩幅にゆとりを持たせ、ネックラインは深すぎず浅すぎない絶妙な設計。鍛えた身体を、美しく引き立てます。

Gentle materials：カリカリの超ドライタッチに特化！和紙&超強撚コットン糸のオリジナルニット

高温多湿な環境下での不快感を少しでも解消するために開発したのがこの編み地です。接地面は和紙糸になるように編み上げることで、汗によって肌に生地がはり付く感覚を軽減する超ドライタッチに。和紙は“和製リネン”と呼ばれるほど、天然繊維ながら「ドライタッチ」で「軽量」、そして「吸水性」「速乾性」「通気性」に優れているといった機能的なメリットを豊富に備えています。

表面にはWOOSTERシリーズでお馴染みの超強撚コットン糸「C WAVE」を細番手にブラッシュアップした「C WAVE SLIM」が出てくるように調整。ナチュラルな弾力がありながら肌離れが良い風合いを生み、ストレッチ性、形状回復性も高い仕上がりに。王道の片畔編みながら、あえて編み目がキレイな裏面(ツル目)を表に採用することで、上品な雰囲気を底上げ。薄い生地感ながら縦畝がキレイに出た表面感が、視覚的にもスタイリッシュな印象を演出します。

ニットを専業として70年以上続く山形県の老舗ファクトリーにて生産。素材・糸のブレンドのバランスや編みのテンション調整など、ベーシックな構造の中に高度な職人技がふんだんに詰め込まれています。そのため、編み地が美しく整っており、形状回復性が高いため、何かに引っ掛けて糸が飛び出しても、ある程度は手で伸ばしながら揉み込み、スチームアイロンをかけることで元の状態に戻せます。

「このニットは、例えるなら南国の島のビーチにある、ヤシの木に吊るされたハンモックに寝転んでいるような心地よさを思わせる着心地が魅力です。ドライなテクスチャーを感じながら、そよ風が汗を連れ去っていくような高い吸水性と通気性によって得られる心地よさを感じてもらえると嬉しく思います。そのため、カシミヤやシルクのようなとろっとした滑らかな肌触りを求める方にはおすすめできません。

この新感覚の着心地をなるべく多くの方に体感頂きたいと思い、軽やかなタンクトップを制作しました。
